Created in partnership with Think Wood (@thinkwoodcommunity), the Mass Timber Pedagogy resources are designed to help faculty integrate mass timber concepts into architectural education through flexible, evidence-based teaching materials that support a range of course types and instructional approaches.

Mass Timber 101 provides a foundational introduction to contemporary wood design and construction. Designed for students new to the topic, these modules address common questions and misconceptions while establishing a clear understanding of how mass timber systems perform, where they are most effectively applied, and how they fit within today’s regulatory and project delivery frameworks.

🌍 On April 22, billions of people around the world celebrate Earth Day. Today, ACSA aims to work with the larger architectural education community to advance sustainability and climate consciousness in pedagogy.

🌍 ACSA’s ongoing commitment to climate action and climate justice acknowledges the inextricable link between architecture, the natural environment, and the systems that disenfranchise marginalized communities. We support work that helps mitigate the disproportionate effects of climate change on indigenous peoples, communities of color, and populations across the globe with limited access to water, shelter, and food.

This National Community College Month, we invite you to browse the ACSA Transfer Toolkit. ACSA recognizes community college architecture programs as accessible and affordable entry points into architectural education. By establishing seamless transfer pathways, accredited architecture programs can strengthen the field by providing entry points for students from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, and age backgrounds who might otherwise lack opportunities to pursue architectural studies.

The toolkit also includes 9 Steps to Develop an Articulation Agreement, a guide for drafting a clearly defined strategy available for potential transfer students to review.
