Educators, Practitioners, Researchers and Students are all encouraged to attend the conference. If you are already an ACSA member, please log into the website and complete your online registration.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing, no later than June 5, 2024 to qualify for a refund, less a processing fee of $50. Unpaid purchase orders will be billed at the full rate specified in the order unless cancelled before the deadline; Standard cancellation fees will apply.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

GENERAL

When and Where is the Conference?
The conference will be fully in-person in Querétaro, Mexico on June 27-29, 2024. Most of the conference sessions will be held at various locations around historic downtown Querétaro. There will be a few sessions on Friday that will be at Tecnológico de Monterrey campus and we will bus attendees to and from downtown Querétaro and campus.

Will I need a Passport and/or Visa to enter Mexico?
Please check the Mexico Secretary of Foreign Relations website on requirements for a passport and/or visa.  

Canada, the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, any of the countries of the Schengen Area, and any of the countries members of the “Pacific Alliance”, you do not need a visa to enter Mexico for tourism, business or transit purposes. All individuals in this category are required to present their valid and unexpired Resident Card along with their passports.

How do I get an invitation letter so that I can apply for a visa?
We can provide you with a visa letter once you have registered for the Conference and paid. We are unable to send visa supporting  letters to attendees prior to registration payment.

What Airport do I fly into?
The closest airport is Querétaro Intercontinental Airport. The airport is about a 30-40 minute taxi/ride share ride to downtown Querétaro. 

What currency is used in Mexico?
The currency used throughout the country is the Mexican Peso. Credit cards are widely accepted and ATMs are frequent.

When will the full conference schedule be posted?
You can see a schedule-at-a-glance online HERE. The full conference schedule will be published in the coming weeks, please continue to check the conference schedule online for the most up to date information.

Will the conference be virtual/hybrid or In-person?
The Conference will be fully in-person and we do not have virtual or hybrid options.

Will there be Free Wifi at the conference?
We cannot guarantee that there will be free WIFI for you to use while attending the conference.

Are there Continuing Education credits offered for the Conference?
Yes, Obtain Continuing Education Credits (CES) / Learning Units (LU), including Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) when applicable. Registered conference attendees will be able to submit sessions for Continuing Education Credits (CES).

How to request for special needs assistance?
If you have special needs, please let us know, by sending an email to Michelle Sturges (msturges@acsa-arch.org), before the conference.

Is there a conference hotel?
There is not a conference hotel, but we suggest booking a local hotel downtown. You can see a list of suggested hotels in downtown Querétaro on our Locations & Lodging page HERE

What health measures/protocols is ACSA taking to ensure a safe environment on-site?
ACSA’s top priority is the health and safety of our event participants. ACSA requests all attendees, staff, and volunteers to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and boosted to participate in the in-person events. ACSA cannot be held liable for COVID-19 cases arising because of

How do I register for the Conference?
If you are already an ACSA member, please log into the ACSA website and complete your online registration. If you are not an ACSA member or do not have an ACSA account, please create one HERE. Once you have an ACSA account, you may complete online registration.

Is there a single-day registration?
No, you will need to register for the entire conference.

Is there a special presenter registration rate?
Yes, we require all authors, speakers and special session presenters to register at the discounted/advance rate in order to participate in the conference.

Do I have to register for the conference if I am a presenter?
Yes, Accepted authors must register and pay for the conference if they would like to present and be included in the conference proceedings program. Accepted research authors are required to register for the conference and present in order to be included in the conference program and proceedings. Special Session Presenters must pay for conference registration as well. You can register HERE. ACSA only requires that one author needs to register and pay in order to present and be published. 

I have co-author(s) or other panelists. Do they have to register to attend?
Yes, if other additional authors or panelists would like to attend and participate, they will need to register and pay for the conference to attend.

How do we register if our accepted submissions has multiple authors?
Each author will need to register individually in order to attend and present at the conference. ACSA only requires that one author needs to register and pay in order to present and be published.  

I am a student, how do I register for the conference?
Please note that a valid student ID is required to receive the student rate. What is included in my registration?
Entry to Educational Sessions, Special Focus Sessions,  Keynotes, Receptions, coffee breaks and networking opportunities. Chances to explore Querétaro, Mexico and the ability to earn AIA Continuing Education Credits.

What is NOT Included in my registration?
All of the tours will have associated fees to cover costs. There is limited space for the tours so pre-registration is required for them.

What if I need to cancel my registration?
Cancellations must be received in writing, no later than June 5, 2024 to qualify for a refund, less a processing fee of $50. If an accepted author has to cancel their registration, they will not be able to present at the conference and will not be included in the conference proceedings.

Can I register for the Conference On-Site?
Yes, but you will get the best rates if you register before May 15, 2024.

How do I get a receipt for my registration?
You can login to your ACSA account and go to “My ACSA” and then “My Account” and find the ACSA 112 Registration and click on the invoice # and from here you will be able to get your invoice. You can also email info@acsa-arch.org for your receipt.
