The School of Architecture is seeking an outstanding candidate to make significant contributions to research and teaching of Digital Technology and Computational Design, expanding ongoing explorations in design for robotic construction and innovation in the construction industry.

The appointees will advance an individual research agenda focused on academic contributions and experimental applications, building research collaborations within the University and beyond.

Applicants should (i) have a PhD degree in a subject area relevant to architecture, digital design or other related areas OR (ii) a professional Master’s degree in architecture and not less than 4 years (with professional registration) or 6 years (without professional registration) of practical experience in architecture thereafter.

Applicants with international recognition in the field will be highly appreciated. Preference will be given to candidates with an excellent record of studio teaching and research.

Appointments will normally made on contract basis for up to three years initially, which, subject to performance, funding availability and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later. Outstanding candidates may be considered for substantive appointment upon initial appointment.

Appointment level and salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
