Project Description

To begin with, the goal of the design is to have a building that is able to adjust to the city social, economic, cultural, political, environmental, ecological, and physical changes throughout time wherever it is placed. However, our main idea about this project is to create some sort of continuity in all aspect of the project. so, we are using the continuity as the mean concept for our design, therefore we can see it in the envelope of the building. Additionally, the continuity it will be shown in the concept, structure, materiality and program as well. Moreover, as we have asked to use the steel structure as primary material we tend to use the folded ribbon steel structure as mean structure for the project.

The site is in Downtown Denver, the main financial, commercial, and entertainment district in Denver, Colorado. Bounded by the 16th Street Mall, downtown Denver’s primary corridor and important transit connector for locals and visitors to the region. The site is also located next to a light rail station and it is close to multiple bus stops which enhance the accessibility to and from the site.
