Under Ground

In an age where the human has been fundamentally displaced and disoriented,physically as well as philosophically, how do we make ecological and aestheticsense of this new and drastically “enlarged arena”? Further, how might werethink cultural disciplines like architecture, which allow us to inhabit the worldin conceptual, experiential, as well as mechanical terms? Should architecturedisplace itself as well, in order to establish new affiliations beyond the human?And if so, what does it mean for architecture to define itself as something nolonger significant for ‘us’ alone?
