The practice of engaging the shadow as the progenitorof form has directed my architectural scholarshipand artistic investigations for over twenty-five years.The shadow is born of one thing yet reveals anotheras its transparent and immaterial essence animatesthe surface upon which it falls. It is this phenomenologicalquality of the shadow, once severed from theobject that ignites my imagination and informs mycreative process.
