Corbelled structures haven’t grabbed the attention of the architectural and structuralcommunity in the last century. They could be considered the poor relative in the familyof structural systems. A couple of recent mathematical papers, however, reveal newand groundbreaking insights into the nature of corbelled structures as they havenever been actualized in architecture. This paper documents research that importsthis knowlwedge into the discipline of architecture for the first time.
