Submit to the 2015-16 Architectural Education Awards

Each year, the Architectural Education Awards honor educators for their exemplary work. This year, ACSA and the AIA are excited to announce a new award: Practice + Leadership, recognizing best practice examples of highly effective teaching, scholarship, and outreach in the areas of professional practice and leadership. What Should JAE 70:2 Be About?

We are asking you to tell us what the topic should be for JAE 70:2. What is the next important question in the architectural discourse of professional practice and/or education? What burning issues should the JAE be addressing? Submit your proposals by September 1, 2015.

Timber in the City Student Design Competition

ACSA is pleased to co-sponsor the second Timber in the City Competition for the 2015-2016 academic year. The competition is a partnership between the Binational Softwood Lumber Council, the School of Constructed Environments at Parsons The New School for Design, and ACSA.

A Society for All Ages Student Design Competition

The 2016 “Integrated Communities: A Society for All Ages” Student Design Competition, held by the International Council for Caring Communities, invites architecture students around the world to apply their creative talents in developing solutions, which integrate older persons into the fabric of the community and fully include them in all social, cultural, and productive activities. The entries are due on or before September 15, 2015. Register electronically at www.international-iccc.org.
