Associate Professor Ursula Emery McClure, FAAR, AIA, LEED AP and her firm, emerymcclure architecture was selected as one of ten winners of the national Sukkah City STL competition. The  Sukkah City STL is an ambitious contemporary design competition that challenged participants to re-imagine the traditional Jewish Sukkah. A sukkah is a small, temporary structure erected each fall during the weeklong festival of Sukkot. Emerymcclure architecture’s sukkah was on display Oct. 18-22 on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. The 10 winning sukkah were installed outdoors on the university’s Danforth Campus, near the Ann W. Olin Women’s Building. The competition was co-sponsored by St. Louis Hillel, Washington University’s Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts and The Museum of ImaJewnation.
