ACSA Supports EAAE Statement on Ukraine

ACSA supports the European Association for Architectural Education’s (EAAE) recent statement on Ukraine. The impact of the attack on Ukraine reverberates loudly among the EAAE’s community of schools. ACSA member schools also have faculty, staff, and students with ties to Ukraine. We echo the sympathy and support and join the worldwide demand for a cessation of violence.

Statement from EAAE for Ukraine

The Council of the European Association for Architectural Education is shocked and dismayed by the blatant violation of the sovereignty of Ukraine by Russia and the resulting threat against the freedom, safety and health of the citizens of Ukraine and its academic community.

The Russian attack is in obvious disregard of major international treaties and agreements and an immediate threat to all efforts for global peace.

We declare our unequivocal support for all architecture schools in Ukraine as well as the architectural community and demand for an immediate cessation of Russian aggressions and the withdrawal of its forces behind the borders.

On Behalf of EAAE,
President Oya Atalay Franck and the EAAE Council Members
