Monash Art Design and Architecture (MADA) is a diverse, collaborative community of creative thinkers, practitioners and makers. We place connection and creativity at the centre of research and teaching, and deploy this as a force for change in the world.
Within MADA, the Department of Architecture fosters an environment of critical debate and transformative practice, characterised by progressive, socially responsible design thinking and practice based knowledge. We participate in networked, global communities engaging with global issues to shape the world of today and tomorrow.
We are currently seeking staff across a broad range of levels – Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor. Appointees will be required to produce research through traditional publications and/or design work, and to teach seminars in their field of expertise. The ability to contribute to design studios is also very desirable. We are seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: building technology, digital design and fabrication, history/theory/criticism and Asian urbanism.
