The LSU School of Architecture seeks applicants for two full-time, nine-month, tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor with the following expertise:
- Architectural History and Theory
- Design and Technology
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of research in either of the above two areas of expertise and is expected to teach design studios, in addition to lecture and seminar courses for graduate and undergraduate students. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues within LSU in general and the College of Art and Design in particular through research, teaching, program development, and governance.
Applications should include the following materials:
- Letter of interest with a narrative description of applicant’s background, scholarly interests and qualifications for the position (max 1500 words). The narrative should include research/creative practice statement and teaching statement.
- Detailed curriculum vita with contact information
- Names of three references with contact information
- Portfolio of scholarly, teaching and creative work (maximum 50 MB)

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should provide evidence of, or the potential for, teaching effectiveness, scholarship, innovative practice, communications skills, and collegiality.
For the Architecture History and/or Theory position, a PhD in architecture, or an equivalent terminal degree in a closely related field (ABD acceptable).
For the Design and Technology position, a Master of Architecture degree, or an equivalent terminal degree in architecture or a closely related field.
