The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape at the University of Calgary invites applications for three tenure-track positions in Architecture at the rank of Assistant Professor with a primary focus in Design Studio and a secondary focus in at least one of the following areas:
• Urbanism/Theory/History/Material Practices
• Indigenous Design/Theory/History/Material Practices
• Generative Design/Advanced Visualization/Computation Design – including the use of AI and Data Science
• Building Science/Performance – including Sustainable and Regenerative Design, Structural and Mechanical Systems, Circularity and Construction
• Emerging Materials, Transscalar Design, Innovation in Fabrication
• Design/Build, Transdisciplinary Design Practices, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
• Critical Practice/Participatory Design
These appointments will be made in the Teaching Focused stream and successful candidates will be expected to teach in both the M. Arch and Undergraduate Bachelor of Design in City Innovation programs.
50% appointments will be considered.
