Architecture Faculty (Full-time 9 mos. Tenure Track)

 

The Architecture and Facility Management Department invites applications for a 9-month tenure track faculty position starting in academic year 2020-2021 at the assistant or associate level. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering the BS in Architecture and Sustainability program, as well as developing new offerings which may include a new B.Arch degree. The program is seeking colleagues who are disciplined, creative, and collegial and who are engaged in and enjoy teaching. The successful candidate will hold an accredited M.Arch degree or a B.Arch degree plus post-professional Master’s degree in a related field, complemented by experience in architectural practice (minimum of 3 years). Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience and architectural licensure. In addition to a solid background in practice, candidates should have a working knowledge and interest in sustainable design and digital applications. Candidates with specific expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: architectural design, sustainable design, integrated building design, building technology, digital representation and visualization, and/or digital fabrication. Candidates should be innovative in advancing these areas in both the studio and classroom.
