Healthcare districts: The connection between health institutions and their neighbourhoods

The aim of the article is to share differentials in terms of ways to deal with the health issues of our company, in their broadest sense. “The strategic, long-term, technical, technological, legal, cultural, socio-community and urban perspective required for the development of strategic planning, master plans and projects in the heath area” is the title that express the bias of our contribution. We design new ventures, architectural projects, master plans, feasibility and strategic consulting studies using a work methodology that is aimed at ensuring the proper performance and constant updating of the buildings and their systems over the long term. The structural pillars in this process are flexibility in innovation processes, continuous adaptations, retrofit, integration and focus on the patient. Faced with the contemporary challenges, we believe in the importance of adopting a systemic and multidisciplinary approach, critically weighing up the demands imposed by the health area in its various aspects. This starts off with the patient’s demands, encompasses the needs imposed by the human, technical and functional resources of the health. We firmly believe in the synergistic potential of the health buildings, which can become hubs that attract and drive sustainable development in the cities.
