This research highlights the overlaps between Paul Virilio and Claude Parent’s theories and the evolution of Skateboarding. Discovering their ideas embodied in skateboardiNg and skateparks, presents a playful new way of reading their work while recognizing the impact of this acti vity in society. The recognition of the potenti al of the relation between the body and the forces at play are exhibited as a transgressive way to design, questioning our static everyday life spaces and the way we inhabit them.
