Applicants submitting abstracts must specify which session they align with best and must choose a side for that particular session. Each session will have two panelists ‘for’ and two ‘against’ the session topic. Abstracts may address architectural projects, practice, pedagogy, and research. The following session topics will be used in the distribution of abstracts:
1. Critical vs. Projective
2. Form vs. Per[form]ance
3. Representation vs. Pragmatics
4. Autonomy + Process vs. Force + Effect
5. Singularity vs. Multiplicities
6. Tectonic Expression vs. Figurative Form
Abstracts & Projects must not exceed 500 words & 2-page PDF maximum.
All submissions must be prepared for anonymous review (remove names and affiliation identification).
An author can present no more than two papers/projects at the Fall Conference.
Submissions must report on recently completed work, and cannot have been previously published or presented in public, except to a regional audience.

All authors submitting papers or projects must be faculty, students, or staff at ACSA member schools, or become supporting ACSA members at the time of submission. Join ACSA.
All abstracts and projects will undergo a blind peer-review process. Selection is based on innovation, clarity, contribution to the discipline of architecture, and relevance to the topic. Accepted submissions will be published in a digital Proceedings (with the option to print) and delivered in fifteen-minute presentations during their respective paper sessions at the conference.
Presentation + Publication
Accepted authors will be required to prepare an article for publication (1,000 - 4,000 with up to 5 images), sign a copyright transfer agreement, and agree to present at the Fall Conference in Syracuse. Articles that are not presented in Syracuse will not be included in the proceedings.
It is ACSA policy that accepted authors must pay full conference registration in order to be included in the conference program and proceedings.
In the event of insufficient participation regarding a particular session topic, the conference co-chairs reserve the right to revise the conference schedule accordingly.
