Below are the Miami Beach area tours being offered during the 102nd ACSA Annual Meeting. 
All tours will depart from the Eden Roc hotel lobby. 

STILTSVILLE BOAT TOUR   $110

Thursday, April 10, 2014, 8:30AM – 12PM

A private tour with internationally acclaimed historian, Dr. Paul George. Accessible only by water, Stiltsville is a group of wooden stilt homes on the edge of Biscayne Bay. The first of the group was constructed in the 1930s. The area took on an aura of mystery, and at its peak in 1960, there were 27 structures on the flats. Dr. George will narrate the area's past and present while cruising the beautiful Biscayne Bay. Limited space available.

     

MUSEUM TOUR - THURSDAY   $35

FROST MUSEUM OF SCIENCE + PÉREZ ART MUSEUM MIAMI (PAAM)
Thursday, April 10, 2014, 1:30PM  5:00PM

Tour the brand new facilities of two major cultural institutions in Miami: 1) Private hard hat tour of the Frost Museum of Science, by Grimshaw Architects, guided by Frank Stesflow (COO and marine biologist) & Gillian Thomas (President and CEO). 2) Private tour of the newly opened Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), by Herzog & de Meuron. Limited space available.
     

PRIVATE MIAMI RIVER BOAT TOUR   $110

Friday, April 11, 2014, 8:30AM – 12PM

Enjoy an entertaining ride on the Miami River with internationally acclaimed historian, Dr. Paul George as he narrates the river's colorful history including the Tequesta Indians, Julia Tuttle, Henry Flagler, the Miami Circle and the cargo district which all make Miami a truly working river. This is a unique opportunity to experience the river’s little-known, tucked away spots. A joint tour with the Association of Architecture School Librarians. Limited space available.
     

MUSEUM TOUR - FRIDAY   $35

CARNIVAL BREEZE CRUISE SHIP TOUR   $35

Saturday, April 12, 2014. 11:30AM – 2:30PM

One of the largest passenger ships ever built for Carnival Cruise Lines, the Carnival Breeze took her maiden voyage in June 2012. The ship was built by Fincantieri of Italy and designed by Partner Ship Design of Germany. The exterior promenade is a half-mile long, and the ship holds an impressive 3,960 passengers in 1,845 cabins with an additional 746 cabins for over 1,000 crew members. This guided tour is a unique opportunity to view the ins and outs of the ship without actually taking a cruise! Limited space available
