School of Architecture / Architectural Design / Tenure Track / Untenured Appointment
The Yale University School of Architecture invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in architectural design, with a complementary focus on research in architectural sciences, at the ranks of untenured Assistant Professor, untenured Associate Professor or Associate Professor with Tenure, depending on qualifications. Although undergraduate teaching is possible, responsibilities will primarily include graduate level teaching in studios and seminars, advising PhD and Post Doctoral research, and leading funded research initiatives in the school. The successful candidate will also help to lead the School in its collaborations with other programs and professional schools around the Yale campus.
Candidates for this position are expected to stand among the foremost leaders in their fields throughout the world. They should possess an emerging international reputation based on a distinguished record of innovative design activity and scholarly publications, as well as a track record in sponsored research. A Ph.D. or equivalent in a directly related field is preferred. Candidates must hold a professional degree in Architecture or a directly related field and have notable professional experience as well as experience in leading graduate level design studios and seminars.
