Two Positions: Architectural Design and Architectural Design Technology  


The Yale School of Architecture invites applications for two appointments - one in Architectural Design and one in Architectural Design Technology - at the assistant professor rank, either tenure-track or non-ladder (adjunct 3-5 year renewable). Start dates may be as early as January 2020, but no later than July 2020. Candidates must hold a (master’s level) professional degree in Architecture or a directly related field, must have a strong background in teaching, and must demonstrate promise in producing ongoing original high-quality work in practice and/or scholarship. The successful candidate will teach graduate design studios, lectures, or seminars that draw from the candidate’s research interests in one of YSOA’s four distribution areas – Design and Visualization; History and Theory, Technology and Practice; or Urbanism and Landscape. The candidate may also teach architecture or urban studies courses as part of Yale College’s undergraduate program. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will advise graduate students, serve on School and University committees, actively contribute to YSOA’s growing interdisciplinary reach, and participate in the School’s vibrant community programming.
