Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture
The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) has an opening to join our programs and events team. We are an organization whose mission is to lead architectural education and research on behalf of more than 7,000+ faculty members in the United States, Canada, and around the world.
We are looking for a Programs Coordinator to work across the organization in helping architecture schools succeed. The coordinator will support management of conferences, design competitions, and awards, interacting with members regularly. The Programs Coordinator will also provide administrative support to the organization, such as answer calls and requests for information.
We seek an energetic, well-organized multi-tasker to work in our small downtown Washington, DC, office. You will work with architecture faculty, students, and ACSA staff to shepherd submissions through online peer review. Additionally, you will maintain and create web pages as well as support our continuing education process. Duties require skills in multi-project management and a commitment to customer service. Opportunities for growth in the position are available.
Here are some details:
- As the initial contact with many of the association’s members and volunteers, you will greet visitors and answer the telephone. You are the main point of contact with faculty, students, and authors submitting their work, and will provide direct customer service for participants using the submission and peer review system.
- You will create and maintain web pages related to our programs and events as well as maintain records on submission and participation.
- You will coordinate and manage the review process for competitions and awards, including communications with jurors and winners.
For these duties we are looking for someone who has an undergraduate degree, background working in an office, knowledge of MS Office programs, and, ideally, experience in online submissions or peer review, skills in Adobe Creative Suite, and/or experience in architecture or allied fields.
ACSA offers a competitive salary and generous benefits. To apply, send a cover letter and résumé as an attachment to an email to email@example.com, using the subject line Programs Coordinator. No phone calls.
