Assistant/Associate Professor of Architecture in Building Performance

The College of Architecture and Design at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in the field of building performance, sustainable design and environmental modeling at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The appointment is within the School of Architecture at the College, with anticipated cross-disciplinary engagement with students in the School of Art + Design as well.

The successful candidate will have an established record of research, practice and/or teaching grounded in environmental performance of buildings with an emphasis on integrated building performance, energy simulation and/or daylighting and other sustainable design strategies. She or he will have demonstrated experience in funded research, together with strong teaching and leadership abilities. The successful candidate will be capable of teaching courses in building systems and construction with expertise in the use of energy modeling to enrich the students’ toolset. Experience with online course delivery and design studio teaching a plus. Minimum qualification is a terminal degree in architecture, building sciences, engineering, or related fields, with a PhD and/or professional licensure preferred.
