The Syracuse University School of Architecture seeks candidates for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Building Technology starting Fall 2019. Teaching responsibilities include core and elective courses in environmental design and building systems/technologies, thesis advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and may include design studio instruction and/or support.
Candidates must demonstrate a record of nationally recognized research which can include built work, theoretical explorations, creative work and scholarship in the form of grants, publications or exhibitions. Professional design experience will be considered beneficial. All faculty members are expected to be actively engaged in research scholarship or creative work, which is promoted and supported by the School and University.
A professional degree in architecture or engineering is required; in addition, either professional registration or a PhD is desired.
