Colorado State University in searching for a Fabrication Labs Coordinator for the new Nancy Richardson Design Center.
This 12-month, full time position manages and coordinates the maker spaces in the design center, opening in December 2018. The primary focus of this position is to provide training and supervision of students and functional support for faculty and in the daily operations of the Woods, Metals, Prototyping and Ideation (VR) Labs. The secondary focus will be to oversee operations and maintenance of equipment and consumables in the labs. The successful candidate will work closely with students and faculty to ensure an environment of collaboration, support, and safety. Responsibilities include overseeing student assistants to provide trained supervision at all times that labs are open.
Successful applicant will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to serve in a broad variety of roles as needed, and be dedicated to the mission of the Nancy Richardson Design Center.
The Nancy Richardson Design Center is a new multi-disciplinary facility at CSU designed to foster creative collaboration and design thinking. It will serve as a design-thinking hub where students from across campus can gather to collaborate, innovate, and prototype creative ideas in formal and informal learning spaces using state-of-the art equipment and technology.
