The Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture of The Cooper Union seeks tenure track full-time professors in Architecture for its undergraduate professional five-year program (Bachelor of Architecture) and a post-professional graduate program (Master of Architecture II) beginning Fall 2018.

Discipline Sought:  Design Position in Computation and Fabrication.
Candidates should exhibit proficiency in the technical capabilities of digital media, advanced and emerging material and computational technologies, and should demonstrate ability to teach in both graduate and undergraduate studios in addition to required elective courses focused on the integration of advanced digital fabrication, robotics, material technologies, or building performance.

Qualifications:
The candidate’s qualifications will include a Master's or Doctoral degree. Previous teaching experience in an undergraduate or graduate program in architecture or a related design discipline is expected. The candidate will be expected to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Responsibilities of this position include teaching, scholarship and research, as well as advising and administrative work on committees. Design studios are often conducted in a collaborative format while seminars are conducted individually in a range of disciplinary areas.
