The Graduate Program in Sustainable Design is seeking a candidate to take on a prominent role in the program and within the School of Architecture. The role will begin in the Fall of 2018, and the candidate will exhibit a strong background in building performance, environmental design, and integration of sustainable research within design contexts. The candidate will offer instruction to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in the form of lectures, seminars, independent projects, and studio-based design.  The candidate will possess a strong research record in building performance, life-cycle assessment, energy, materials or other building-science subjects. A record or strong promise of external funding is preferred. The role will allow direct work with the Center for Sustainable Development and the UT Thermal Facade Labs. Collaborative research opportunities are also available with colleagues in several other centers, departments, and schools on campus, particularly in the UT Cockrell School of Engineering and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

The candidate should hold at least a Master Degree in Architecture or a related field, and a PhD is preferred for this role. Licensure is also a preferred qualification, though not required. The candidate is expected to possess a proven or potential record of excellence in research and teaching within an academic and/or professional practice setting.
