The School of Architecture at North Carolina State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Architecture.

The School of Architecture at North Carolina State University is positioned within the College of Design, with allied departments of Art and Design, Graphic and Industrial Design, and Landscape Architecture. The School of Architecture offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Architecture, and the College offers a Doctor of Design (D.Des.) and a Ph.D. in Design.

The appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor level, with appointment at the Associate Professor level possible based upon qualifications. This position will offer opportunities to teach architecture studios at all levels, lecture courses, and seminars in areas of expertise. Commensurate with the level of appointment, we expect the successful candidate to demonstrate an identified focus for scholarship and research. We also expect candidates to demonstrate the promise, passion, and creativity to integrate their scholarly interests with their teaching.

The candidate's portfolio must demonstrate design excellence. The successful candidate will have opportunities to further the school’s legacy or establish new initiatives in digital media, digital representation, digital fabrication, computation, simulation, or other areas of research congruent with their design work.

A Professional Degree in Architecture is required. Other relevant qualifications include: professional practice, licensure, teaching experience, recognized peer-reviewed scholarship, and post-professional degree(s) including a Ph.D.
