Description

Oklahoma State University School of Architecture invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level beginning employment in the fall of 2018.  The successful candidates will be engaging, creative, and passionate individuals with professional stature, prepared to contribute as inspiring educators and outstanding scholars toward the school’s mission (https://arch-ceat.okstate.edu/content/mission-statement).  Teaching responsibilities include two design studios per year (beginning design and one other) as well as one course with a primary focus in:

  • Architectural Materials
  • Building Technology

Candidates are expected to develop a scholarly agenda as well as participate in academic and professional service.  

The School of Architecture has a 108-year history of educating professional architects and architectural engineers.   Located within the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology, the School is proud of its professionally focused 5-year Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Architectural Engineering curriculums combining strong design/problem-solving with an emphasis on technology and building systems integration.  Design studios are team-taught fostering a collegial and collaborative atmosphere.  Valued and nurtured within the College and greater University, there are many opportunities for multi-disciplinary research and scholarship. Completed in 2009, the School’s new state-of-the-art facility offers both faculty and students many opportunities for growth and success.
