The School of Architecture at the University of Miami invites applications from highly qualified persons for faculty positions in Architecture. These tenure-track appointments will be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank to begin fall 2017. The successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to both teaching and research, through the advance of a scholarly agenda in design and one or more of the following areas:
- Computational Design and Digital Media
- Materials, Systems, and Building Technology
- Resilience and Sustainability
- Landscape and Urbanism
In addition, the candidates are expected to demonstrate an active engagement in course development, instruction, mentoring and professional service. Candidates will be expected to teach a combination of studio and lecture courses to undergraduate and graduate professional and research degree students.
A terminal degree is required and preference will be given to candidates with a PhD or professional licensure (or equivalent) with a record of research and publication.
The School of Architecture is located within the University’s Coral Gables campus in the greater Miami area, with a 5-year B.Arch., a 3-year M.Arch. as well as graduate degrees in Urban Design, Real Estate Development and research areas.
