Faculty Position in Architecture and Urbanism: Building Technology Focus
The University of Miami School of Architecture is initiating a search for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with expertise in building technology and in particular, topics of sustainability and digital fabrication. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to teach in studio, core and advanced technology courses, to develop new course work, as well as to initiate and participate in inter-disciplinary research in the field of advanced building technology, with collaborations in the focus topics.

The School of Architecture is engaged in several areas of interdisciplinary teaching and research with faculty in the College of Engineering, the Leonard and Jayne Abess Center for Ecosystem Science and Policy, and the Miller School of Medicine, and seeks to develop new knowledge through expanding these collaborations. The successful candidate should offer specific insight into how her or his research could serve to advance this goal as well as the candidate's national reputation in research and scholarship. Candidate qualifications include a professional degree in architecture and a post-professional degree, preferably a Ph.D., in addition to professional registration in architecture.
