ACSA looks forward to our next 100 years. We are excited to consider the many changes confronting professional education, as the practice of architecture expands its scope, embraces new technologies, and grows as a global practice. Architectural education now finds possibilities to reconsider old models, while holding to the principles that distinguish it: design excellence, critical thinking and the ability to make ameliorative improvements in communities. The educators we represent offer a wide array of research and creative work that inspire the profession and contribute much to society. We offer tools and strategies for beneficent action, problem solving and a better fabric of living. Our students and faculty care deeply about the environment, building communities and the world’s condition. Through publications, academic conferences and communication vehicles, ACSA aims to further dialogues that advance architectural education, and so improve our collective path forward.
